Benefits of Drinking Water During Pregnancy

Pregnant or not, drinking water is very important to keep the body healthy and hydrated. Most of the internal organs of the body require water for proper functioning. During pregnancy, drinking water becomes all the more important as water is a key component of breast milk and significant for good lactation. There are numerous advantages of drinking sufficient amounts of water:

Prevents dehydration that might cause headaches, cramps, bloating and dizziness during pregnancy. Adequate water intake can also prevent the preterm contractions that can sometimes occur in the third trimester.
